What is it?

Fun in Beds is a chill-out activity camp for members of Scout Network.

Where is it?

Bedfordshire – information on how to get there will come out when you book in!

When is it?

The next event will be on 22nd-24th February 2019.

How much is it?

This year the cost is £32 if booked before the early booking deadline of Thursday 31st January 2019. The price rises to £42 after this date.

What does that get me?

The cost of the camp covers your camping, all activities and all your food!

How do I book?

Follow the instructions on the Booking page of the website. You can book online, or print off a booking form and post it back with your booking fee. But be warned, don’t hold off booking, we were oversubscribed last year and had to close booking early!

What food is provided?

Food is available from Friday dinner, all the way through to Sunday Lunch. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know, we also release the menu before the event so if you have any issues with anything on the menu you can contact us.

Is there a bar?

This is a small camp, so there is no bar on site, but you are welcome to bring your own drinks. Please drink sensibly and don’t bring glass as we cannot dispose of it.

I can’t make the whole weekend, can I still come?

Yes, but you will still need to pay the full booking fee; we don’t arrange any concessions.

Do I have to be a member of the UK Scout Association?

You must be a member of the UK Scout Association and you will need your membership number to book. Either as an 18 - 25 year old member of Scout Network, or Active Support. If you are a member of Girlguiding, please contact us before booking.

I am a new member of Scout Network but I have not received my membership number yet. What can I do?

Ideally everyone should enter their number. This proves to us you are a full member and are also insured by the Scout Association. You should speak to your Network Administrator, Network Commissioner, District/County Secretary – or phone the information centre to check your details on Compass.

I'm not the right age for Network, can I still come?

You must be over 18 to attend... but if you are the wrong side of 25, so long as you're still young at heart you can come!

I will be travelling by train/bus, how can I get to the campsite?

The nearest train station is Bedford and there is a bus from the nearby bus station that can take you to the village where the campsite is. You can also catch a bus from Oxford and Cambridge. Please contact us for more travel information, and we’ll send out directions to those attending before the event. We usually have people coming from all over so make sure you contact people using our Facebook page to see if you can arrange to travel together.

What happens if I’ve booked but can’t attend anymore?

As soon as your booking arrives we immediately start making arrangements to include you in all the fun we have planned for the weekend to ensure you’ll have a great time! Due to this we’re unable to provide refunds if you are unable to attend. You can however sell your space to someone else, but you must inform us of the new person's details.

I have more questions that aren't answered here?
